The Aurealis Awards are known as Australia’s premier speculative fiction awards, and this year, The Write Advice is beyond delighted to see our very own Jessica A. McMinn’s gaslamp fantasy horror novella, Parasitic Omens, has been shortlisted.

Jess’s novella is shortlisted in both the Best Horror Novella AND the Best Fantasy Novella, and we couldn’t be happier for her.
It was such a pleasure and a privilege to edit the novella with Jess, who is a consummate professional when it comes to editorial feedback and her ability to take suggestions and turn them, and the whole, into something special.
The awards will be held as part of Genrecon in Brisbane on 21 February. Wishing you all the very best, Jess! ~ Anna
